Microsoft Dynamics 365 Enterprise Edition, Microsoft Azure, and the Adobe Marketing Cloud walk into a bar. The bartender goes, “Who are you guys supposed to be?” They reply, “Only the most powerful combination of platforms and services ever assembled to help you create engaging, personalized customer experiences while strengthening your brand!”
(Insert sound of crickets chirping)
Okay, you probably won’t hear Jerry Seinfeld tell that one on his next visit to The Tonight Show, but the new partnership between Microsoft and Adobe is most definitely good news for marketers around the world!
Microsoft and Adobe Announce New Partnership
Microsoft and Adobe have recently announced unprecedented and exciting new plans for a strategic partnership. Their goal is to help enterprise companies embrace digital transformation and deliver valuable, compelling, personalized experiences through all phases of their customer relationships.
Using a combination of Microsoft Azure, the Adobe Marketing Cloud, and Microsoft Dynamics 365, they hope to enable businesses of all sizes to dramatically and measurably strengthen both their profitability and their brands.
At Microsoft’s Ignite event, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said, “Adobe and Microsoft have had a great partnership, we have innovated together, we have partnered to really drive the success of our customers over a variety of technology platforms.” This announcement “marks a big milestone in our partnership with the leading SaaS services from Adobe coming to Azure.”
“Customers today expect a well-designed, personalized and consistent experience every time they engage with a brand,” said Shantanu Narayen, president and CEO of Adobe. “Adobe and Microsoft will bring together the cloud horsepower and end-to-end capabilities brands need to design and deliver great digital experiences.”

The Adobe Marketing Cloud
Adobe created the Marketing Cloud to give marketers everything they need to gain deep insight into their customers, create personalized campaigns, and manage all their content. They describe it as the most complete set of marketing tools available.
Most people are already aware of Adobe for its innovative work with Photoshop and PDF documents, but through this partnership with Microsoft, people will now also have the opportunity to discover, and benefit from, how Adobe has completely rethought and reimagined the creative process in the cloud.
An Ideal Blend of Platforms and Services for Marketers
Microsoft Azure provides a secure, trusted, global cloud and a powerful data platform for intelligent services. Which is one of the many reasons Adobe has decided to make Azure its preferred cloud platform for the Adobe Marketing Cloud, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Adobe Document Cloud.
Microsoft is making the Adobe Marketing Cloud its preferred marketing service for Dynamics 365 Enterprise Edition. They believe this powerful combination of platforms will give their customers a complete and comprehensive marketing service for Microsoft’s next generation of intelligent business applications.
To summarize then, creating compelling, personalized customer experiences just got a whole lot easier. So, marketers rejoice! Stand-up comedians…not so much.
